Hydrogen peroxide 0 pre spray gold 1
« on: May 04, 2011, 01:07:33 pm »
Had an old coffee stain to deal with this morning, about the size of a dinner plate, gave it a liberal dose of coffee stain remover, and left it for 15 mins while I set up.
Rinsed it out, with little or no noticeable difference.
I then tried hy perox at 17.5% was ready with my hand tool ,didn't make much impact either.
So as a last resort I mixed up a very strong mix of pre spray gold,as I know this stuff bleaches when mixed too strong, sprayed onto stain, and the results were much better, almost straight away, gave it a really good rinse out,was still noticeable but no where near as bad

Hydrogen peroxide only works well if it is force dried with heat.

What dilution rate are you using PSG at to remove stains like that? It's normally 30ml per litre.

Used a small sprayer, with 50ml in prob 100ml of water.
Stain was still viable,it was just a bit lighter
