just wondered how many of you have done one or more leather training courses and who they were with ?, also was it easy or hard and have you profited from it ?.

LTT in Harrogate.
Although very hands on there's only so much you can learn in 4 days and your first few real jobs are a bit testing.
Not sure how it runs these days as Andy is no longer with us.
Profitted from it yes although with the market so cheap for new items don't think you're going to be rich very soon.
I quoted £90 today over the phone for a 3-2 cream suite which was quite grubby apparently. Said I would even put a protector on free of charge, but all I got was the "Oh I'll probably call you back" which as we all know is customer code for "I ain't paying that much."

likewise LTT - with Judy..profitable.....only time will tell as just starting out...I think it can be but like everything you got to find and source the work....think free protect is pretty standard as an offer ......done a couple of suites and the process takes time if being done properly (which is the only way)...got a radley handbag to restore in the next few weeks too....so work coming in dribs and drabs..

I did the course 2 years ago and have never looked back. The ongoing support from Judy and the team is brilliant and the products are fantastic. I even have my own branded bottles of LTT's Lazy Leather which are good add on sales for customers who are motivated to care for their suites once you deep clean them.

I did it with Furniture clinic and would NOT recomend very highly. I then went on a 2 day course with LTT to try and gain some confidence that was lost but missed a half day of a 2 day course due to traffic. I wish I had of went here first but the damage was done. The colour mixing is very hard.

I did it Fc at the time they were introducing franchises, there were concerns from prospective franchisees at the time about FC offering a course at a fraction of the cost and going on the advice I recieved after I did the course, well, I have suspicions about their intentions. On the course the guy taking it gave the impression he did not want to take it.
