Did a £1.7m house today. It was one of my biggest. Every 6 weeks. I knew it was up for sale but when I went 6 weeks ago custie paid me and said see ya in 6 weeks time as normal.
Got there today, no cars, house almost empty. I was 50/50 whether or not to do them. Anyway decided to do them. I left the bill. But when I got home I phoned the agent who told me the contract was signed last week and my custie had moved. Damn!!

i wouldnt of done them,should of gone back in a week or so,better off leaving it a couple of weeks to let new owners settle in then leave a card or knock on ask if they still want em doing

iv had it before started cleaning a house did about 3 windows and it started to sink in that theres no furniture it was rented house,i never went back

Charge was £65. House sold for £1.7m. Surely they will pay me my £65. Small change really from £1.7m!!!

Thats nothing we all know those estates where the elderly reside and when they pop their clogs one by one then you find yourself wrestling with your conscience with a non dilemna........unless theres anyone on here whos been to a will reading to see if they are in it lol.incase that went over anyones head i mean our lovely oaps dying on us or going into hospital and never coming out and never paying us and dont get me wrong i love that generation cos they will chase you down the street to pay you not like OUR generation who think its good enough to fob us off with the excuse "oh,i havent been to the bank".

I started to send the estate a letter expressing my condolences to the next of kin and then mention the window clean and amount owing and whether they want me to continue with the service until they decide what to do with the house.
The last few times I have been paid the outstanding money. That persons estate will still be responsible for gas, electric, rates etc and they all have to be settled.

Hi you were lucky if id have been the new owners i may have employed you but i wouldn't have wanted to pay the bill for the clean i hadn't arranged, but im glad you got your money.
