« on: April 20, 2011, 10:34:26 pm »
Kind of a follow on from the other thread, what sort of minimum price does everyone have in place for the jobs that are a little further afield?

Im talking jobs between 15-30miles away.

£70 - £100 min ticket on all jobs.
0 - 30 miles away - more if further.
If customer wants quality, they pay for quality  8)

Well, dear Jason, i put one of these ( - ) in between the 70 -100 so it is between 70 to 100 depending on distance  :-*

I hope that you are able to grasp the concept  ;)

At 30 miles I wouldn't be going out for my min charge, I would either up the price considerably or the job would have to be big enough to warrant the mileage based on take it or leave it, but I would do my best to sell them the cleaning as I would take it as a challenge.

Spot on Shaun. SELL the cleaning, the experience, the results, the method, best products etc etc. That's how we do it  ;)

I won't travel for any money. if its over 10 miles I need a really good reason to go. but I'm booked up fully with work within 4-5 miles so why would i want to travel?

furthest distance i've done in the last year is 21miles to clean at a oil refinery which was really big money.

Distance is not relative it the time it take you to get there examples from home to Maidstone 24.5miles about 30min so not of pollution, from home to Lewisham 7.5mile about 80min that’s on a good day so min pollution, but today a f’ing nightmare A2 CLOSED Sidcup to Sidcup 60min but still worth it and a eco clean too! ;D
Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other. (Sidcup Kent)

It would be good if you did a webcast on selling the job as you are a legend
