WANTED Soft Brushes for Host
« on: April 14, 2011, 08:57:32 pm »
Hi, I have a Host dry cleaning machine dated 1990. Got it off Ebay before I started up, hoping to use it as agitator,
unfortunately it has black brushes which are to hard.
Anyone got any soft white brushes for sale for this machine or tell me where to get them.
used brushes would be fine.
someone told me if I run the brushes on wet concrete for 20 minutes it will soften them?

Thanks, Gary.

i may be talking through my arse here as i have had a few sherberts but i have a host that i think i bought with black brushes and i think those brushes are softer than the white one's i eventually bought from host for the rip off price of just over £200 inclusive of vat and delivery. i am sure someone who is not as effected by alcohol as i am will come along shortly and confirm or contradict my post.

There are 5 different types of brushes for the Host Freestyle which is what I assume you have got, they range from very soft (Gold) to very hard (Red),  the White ones are in the middle.  Look here http://www.hostvonschrader.co.uk/pdf/host-accessories.pdf for a description of each of the brushes (last page).  You should run the white and zebra brushes on smooth concrete for 15 - 20 minutes to break them in not to soften them.
