Regrets I've had a few...

Does anyone else suffer with regrets about stopping window cleaning for certain customers whether it's financial or for other reasons?...

The more I know the less I know I know ...

I have had to sell on parts of my round when I could no longer cope with the workload. In the very near future I will be moving to Ireland, so I will be selling the rest of my round and starting up again when I move.

As 99.9% of my customers are excellent, I have found it very, very difficult to let go. Some are and have become friends, which has added to the stress of it all.

Funny thing is, the other day I was looking thro my complete/suspended list on George  and I couldnt believe the amount of work Ive dumped over the past couple of years!
Would have another van on the road if I had kept them, but I remember what tosspots a lot of them were and I really could do without the hassle!

I've heard that you know the way English people tell jokes about the Irish, well Irish people tell jokes about people from Kerry.

Since I started 20 years ago, I would guess that I've dumped or passed on enough work for at least one reasonable round and possibly nearer two.  Such a round would hardly be worth having though.  It got to the pooiint where I needed 500 customers to do 300 cleans - such was the level of messing about.  I vowed never to let that happen again.  Sometimes I've been knocked on here for letting go of a job too easily but it's probably because of the way it went in those early years.

no regrets about the majority of those long gone as they were usually troublesome - however i do miss one custy - she was

I for some reason have always liked the Irish (regardless of their politics); they remind me of Geordies; daft!  I even married one; now that was really daft.

Well, I must admit that I've missed some good customers, but I've found new ones, so I do not regret. There are customers which deserve to be left, but it is really a pity when you have to leave the ones you like. Anyway, a man should not regret for anything.

Thanks Woodsy! I will be moving at the end of July, so it will be the end of one era and the start of a new one. Or will it be a new 'error'!  ;D
