Thanks Richard ;)

Talk Talk seems the way to go .

Line rental, free weekend and evening calls + call divert £18.76.

Then you can buy a 200min bundle of landline to mobile mins £5. Once your connected can change this to 500 mins approx £10.

So in theory under £30 p/m :)

£100 in diverted calls!!!!!!!!!!
Soon as I receive one I say " I've just
popped into the supermarket or I'm just
coming off the motorway can I ring you
back in 5 minutes"
Then ring back using mobile free minutes.
Simples.

If you can get virgin call divert is £2 per month and calls to a virgin mobile are free

ive just been told by virgin that calls diverted from virgin landline to virgin mobile have an 11p connection charge per call

Same as John. Get their number, make up some excuse why you can't talk and then call them back.
Most mobiles now have free calls to landlines so make use of it.

No offence Neil, Paul and John but that sounds like a pain in the arse. Plus your still answering so its automaticly clicks to the first minute.

Free minute bundles with talktalk seems to be the best idea, plus i am with talktalk anyways.

I wish the buggers at talktalk told me about this offer sooner!! I've been spending anywhere from £50 - £100 a month on bloomin calls!

Each to their own mate. Afterall even if you have the package where your happy to chat they nearly always call when you're just arriving at a job or chatting to a customer at the end of the job, which I guess you'd tell them anyway that you'll call them back shortly.

Found a bit of info about the business One Plan Plus with BT. Apparently yes call diverts to O2 mobile are free.................but..............25% of the calls must go to numbers not part of your business. So that counts me out.

If you call them back you still have to pay for the first minute anyway. By that time you know if it's a price shopper or not.  If you cnvert the call into a job then that more than covers the call.

Everyone's a price shopper, at some stage
in the proceedings your going to be asked
"how much then"
Even those that don't really want you can be
on for ages, far better to ring back.
If possible I'll ring when I get home and that's
free.
