bit long winded this one....

cul de sac we do ....

one of the houses we also provide cleaners for aswell, so we speak to them alot and get on really well ...

a neighbour 2 doors down - i was doing there windows for the past 3 odd years, i was made aware by the other neighbours they are well known for getting work men in eg painters .... and then trying to not pay by complaining ....

anyway never had too many probs on the windows side, until one day they asked me to clean the gutters - so during a window clean i explained how it all worked and how would get the pvc looking nice & white again, how we would clean it (wfp) - they totally understood how it worked and agreed the price.

so few months back i did the gutter cleaning, getting all the pvc nice & white again ... half way through i always get the customer out to play spot the difference on the green/white gutter.

she came out and looked up at it and just said yeah looks good, then he comes out stands there for 15 mins watching me...

so hour later i finish,pack up and knock to collect the money - they said we dont understand?! we didnt want it doing like that! just wanted the rubbish out of it.

i explained to them when i first priced it - it is empty, your fine regards that.

so i re explained all this. he says oh! if i knew you were charging £70 for all are gutter and fascia cleaned i wouldnt of had it done.

they paid anyway - after i stood my ground and said i explained it all to you, i showed you half way through and you have agreed the price.

i thought stuff them i dont want to work for them anymore, so every time i went to the cul de sac for window cleaning or domestic cleaning i would miss there house (only a 2 monthly) he came out after 2 months and said we will get another window cleaner, i said ok then no prob all the best...

the other day they asked 3 wc to come and price: £22, £28, £24

we charged £16.

so now shes got her tail between her legs, wishing she hadnt of mucked me about, waiting for them to come over and ask me to start doing them again - when they do - my response is simply sorry we are too busy looking after our regular & reliable customer

yeah its fine, doesnt bother us at all!

been going long enough and well established to worry about other wcs.

all our customers are very happy with service they get and sometimes price doesnt come into it regards changing wcs ....

That's a big diff in prices mate. Why do you think the others were more expensive than you?

the windows are crap! have these cheap type plastic squares that fall off easy, so wfp is hard on them and trad takes too long... but we do every house in the cul de sac and they have changed there windows...

so i guess we were too cheap ... but she moaned about our price.

as we were doing the cleaning at the regular domestic house cleaning customers - they told me she came over the other day moaning she cant find a wc!

it was due a price up by £2 just before we stopped going, she wouldnt of paid it anyway!
