Trad gear
« on: March 25, 2011, 08:19:38 pm »
Ive got my son starting in a couple of weeks and need to stock up on trad tools ( I still use a squeegee I bought about 15 years ago! :o ::) ).
He can already use a pole (ish!) and he is going to be trained in trad methods too..

Wheres the best place guys?

Windowcleaning warehouse? Scrim City?
How long do you think it will take before he's out of his time?

Learn him to use them properley. T bars/ Mops are for putting on the end of poles to clean sills, and squeegees are for clearing the water away from peoples doorsteps.

recently been using a blue and white syr sleeve from www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk    it has  stripes and the strands are quite coarse material= a very good sleeve .  i dont like microfibre sleeves as they are too soft and dont lift off bug specks

Soap national for me.

it holds an average amount.  at first glance it seems a run-of-the-mill sleevee but then i noticed it lifted off bug specks better than most and on closer inspection i realized the strands are coarse even when wet .  previous to this i used a red and white stripe pulex microtiger sleevee, very good , but can get heavy if using it all day
