Ashby's Ninja For Sale
« on: March 23, 2011, 01:18:30 pm »
For Sale:  An Ashby's Ninja, yellow in colour.  No hoses or tools being sold with it.

The machine is some years old but has been treated with respect and serviced regularly.  It has been surplus to requirements for some time since getting a truckmount, so time to clear a bit of space in the garage!

It is a single cable machine, the wiring inside is sound and it has had two good quality vacuum motors fitted not long before I took it out of service.

The pump is a Shurflo 105psi, which again hasn't done too much work so is in very good condition.  It has never had extraction detergents run through it.  The machine will accept a 135psi pump if required, although I've found very little difference between them. (I was supplied the 105psi as a replacement by mistake but had to fit it because I needed to use the machine in a hurry!)

The waste dump valve has been replaced, so no dripping dirty water on your customers floors.  There are no leaks from either fresh or waste water compartments, it is totally water tight.

Known problems:

> The heating element is a little corroded, because I used the wrong descaler on it by mistake!  However this doesn't seem to affect its performance, it's a 3KW heater and warms up very quickly.

> The auto cut-out float assembly for the heater has been repaired but seems to be fine now

> The cable looks a little tatty but is still safe

That's all the faults I can think of.  I don't think you'll find a similar aged Ninja in any better condition, and with the low hours on the vacs and pump since they were changed this machine shouldn't cost its buyer any significant money for a long time to come.

During its life it has never let me down, it is an ideal machine to enter the market with, or to keep as a back-up!

Yours for £350, buyer collects. (pics to follow)

I think I was two hours late in seeing it

Would have been a cheap adaptation for blowing circuits and have an awesome 6 vac  and using more customers electric, hot water boiler, as well as starting  a Service-master  branch ;D ;D ;D

I could have painted my van Yellow like Doug

Yes I do give all my machines stupid names, but not going to embarrass myself in public  any further :-[

Ian, I think I had the machine sold less than an hour after posting it up!  Think carefully about the colour, you can't hide from anyone in a bright yellow van, it's impossible!  Your friends will track your every move....
