RO pure water making

Sorry to bother everyone again a question about making pure water from hard water, i have the ro system coming with my pureflow trolly and have bought a 200litre water butt with a lid and tap, what do i have to do with the system to make it work do i need hose outside taps? of can i fill it up by emptying barrels in it, i dont understand how the ro system connects does in go inside the water ?

you need a tap to supply the RO, they work on pressure.

so could i connect a inside house tap with a hose going to the ro and then the ro empties pure water into my water butt? how long should i leave the tap on could i work it this way i have no outside tap thanks for the help lee

An outside tap would be best, but not essential. It takes about 8-10 hours to fill my butt  :o

waste needs to go down a drain, and yes the kitchen tap would need to be on for 8-10 hours, or until the butt is full.

is there a way for the tap to turn off when full or will it overflow

you need an auto shut off kit, or it will overflow

You also need the hose connected to the kitchen sink to be a completely sealed unit, otherwise it will leak and splurt everywhere under the pressure.

I fitted an outside tap, it came in a kit from good old B&Q for about £15.00
Im not scared of heights, just falling from them.
