How many of you do Bon Marche?. Just had a call off the manager asking how much we charge for the windows (she wasnt sure cos its done direct via BACS). She said the area manager was ringing round all the stores asking what they pay the window cleaner.....I wonder if they are going down the central contracting route, I frigging hope not, I cant afford to lose many more >:(

I have to ask you and others, these shops that are you losing, are they based in a shopping centre or just high street access?
Our town centre, has it's own cleaning facilities section, including window cleaning for the shop owners. there are a few shops that want to use their own, but then they have to apply to the town centre facility company and get permission for you to enter etc etc. which ends up to be more hassle for them and they just go with the town centre ones.
Just wondering as it is too much hassle to bother about with our town centre :)

I cleaned their main distribution centre in Huddersfield when it was built, on behalf of the builder, nice fifty grand that was - back in 2003. Then I got the regular monthly window cleaning direct, I sold it as part of my business in 2004 to a National Window Cleaning Company - Blade Window Cleaning in Bradford, maybe they have got the whole lot now?

I employed about 20 cleaners for 3 weeks solid to clean up after the builders! it was a long time ago when money was quite good in this business.

I knew you had to have a back story. 20*3*300=18k. Probable 25k profit.
