crb checks

ive got a good chance of doing a private nursing home where a crb check must be done now this isnt a problem for me , but a mate who sometimes helps me out as got a conviction from some years ago , would this conviction prevent him from helping me out if i needed him to the conviction he got was for housing benifit fraud about 6 years ago . thanks for any advice .

It shouldnt be a problem at all, but its at the managers discretion, if it was for burglary, sexual assault, gbh etc then he wouldnt beable too do the job...

CRB checks are no longer

We do a chain of 26 care homes and have been told the checks are outdated and no longer used

Their is a new system but  damned if I can remember it's name, anyway it is only for employees ie caters nurses act . They are issued with a number which is on a list so if they move from job to job the number goes with them and employers have access to this register

Will post the name of the register when I can remember it

i clean 2 big nurseries and a large childrens home.never been asked to be crb checked!

mind you i only clean the outside windows.

im sure i heard there going to scrap crb checks for temporary workers and volunteers anyway.

I hada check a few years back cos I train a youth football team,think it cost either £15 or £25 as for convictions i'm not sure if its 5 years or 10 years. I no a few coaches who have a colourful past. But as long as it is nothing to do with kids or cruelety i think you be ok.
