Reminders, post or phone?
« on: March 14, 2011, 09:04:38 am »
Hi

I do all my 6 month & 12 month reminders by post. But after talking to an oven cleaner I know, it got me thinking, he always calls his customers in the evenings for there reminder. Has anyone else tried this?

Cheers

Never tried it but i should imagine you would get a better response using the phone, worth a thought might try it

I always try to get a mobile number when I quote.I then send a Text message every 2 months.Ive got better results doing that, than posting letters.

Good idea that chris and quicker than letters.

I know a few cleaners who do use the phone and get a good responce too..

I dont do reminders but if i was to do them then i wouldn't fancy doing them by phone. Seems to in your face and putting the customer on the spot. Its basicly a cold sales call even though they have used you before.

I'd stick to letters or even better/cheaper emails.
