repair or renew

did a big comm today, noticed a drop in pressure so went outside to have a look, got to the lobby and there was a swimming pool of water, pumping out of my solution hose coupling, anyway, cleaned up, and had a look. the male QC had split from the pipe, (orange hydramaster ones) so i just twisted it and snapped it right off. is it worth getting it re attached further down or has the pipe had enough.
repair or renew? that is the question.

I would repair it once at least.........
If it works great..........not cost you anything

If not then renew...

Can't help it I am a Yorkshireman you see.... ;D

thing is, i know its cheaper to get it repaired but do you not think that it might be shot inside and not last that long or even worse, be weak now and split? (there 3 years old)or is it just where it meets the QC where it goes weak?

Mine's gone a couple of times Derek, but always at the connector itself. Apart from my solutiuon hose getting slightly shorter it's still working fine after 5+ years.

I've had length of it repaired at your hose repairer they always say that they can't guarantee the repair but it's only so you don't complain if it goes again, my repairer charge me £5.

Had mine repaired about a year ago (albeit mine is used with a portable so not as great pressure) and still holding firm.

If its gone close to the connector its because you are bending it all the time as you put it on the floor etc so its gone weak inside.

What I do is 'rest' the pipes regularly. Swap the pipe thats not used much for the older one, that way you spread the wear and tear around and not on 1 pipe all the time.
