What would you do?
« on: March 07, 2011, 12:00:07 pm »
Had a call today from a woman who knew my name and said that I'd cleaned her carpets last year and wants them doing again, she told me her address and I couldn't for the life of me remember her.

Ive been through my diary and its definately not a job Ive done before.I cant understand how she knew my name.I can only think its from a card drop I did in the area a few months ago.

Anyway I took the booking and I'm just wondering what to do now, when I go and she sees its not her last cleaner things might be a bit embarassing.

has this happened to anyone before?

1. When she said last year it was probably 3 or 4 years ago.  ;D
2. If it was someone else and he wasn't memorable enough to the customer that's his tough luck.  :)
3. If she does not recognise you, say your hairs cut different.  :D ;)

Did you go round n have a look at the job wayne?

Sometimes they do get mixed up with having jobs done around the house and with your name it might have been similar mate.

A couple of years ago we had a job where the custy called us because she liked the look of a job we had done near to her home.   I almost told her that it wasn't us but thought better of it.   I knew she'd be happy with the results and in short, she was.

Take the job and make them happy.   Fingers crossed they'll not forget this time next year :-)

I`ve done that a couple of times, when I knew it wasn`t me, but on the other hand I`ve had a regular who still can`t remember it was me who cleaned her carpets the last twice.
