Told 23 custies today the price off cleaning windows is up £1 next month
20 said ok ? , 3 said will think about it, so if i lose 3 i still get the same
money for 3 houses less. :)
I started out with nothing......I still have most of it.

OH! That's expensive!!

Translations:

I'll talk to my husband about it.
I'll get back to you.
Have you got a contact number/ e-mail address?
Not just now but I'll let you know.
I'll get my hubby to clean them, he's just back from Madeupistan. ;D
My daughter is getting married/going to university.
We are moving soon, so it's not really worth it (Still there in a years time) ;)

So the 3 that are thinking about it......do they think that if they hold out you will not put their price up and just carry on ;D ;D ;D ;D

Right or wrong I am putting a note on my "windows cleaned today" ticket/ invoice that simply reads "please note a small price increase from next visit to...£" I dictate my prices if they wish to cancel they have my contacts.
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.

Right or wrong I am putting a note on my "windows cleaned today" ticket/ invoice that simply reads "please note due to inceases in fueld/VAT and supplier costs, a small price increase from next visit to...£" I dictate my prices if they wish to cancel they have my contacts.

I do exactly the same, done to about 50% of my customers (about 200) so far this year, had 5 or 6 switch to alternate months instead of monthly and only a couple cancel, so it seems a no brainer to me. Fuel prices increasing for everyone so majority understand.

Its so sad when i read this , just been through it my self , left cards if not in saying price today and new price next month with my phone number , not one call , dont reckon half of them have the neck to ring , or they dont want to ring the mob as its too pricey  ;D.
If they came out with the old "we'll go 2 monthly now then" nonsense , my response was well rehearsed , that'll be 25% extra on top of the pending rise then .
Not had to use it yet , sad to say , there was a few i hoped would ring and say that !

I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

if they think the rise is expensive try this..

yes madam, i understand but the rise equates to less than 3p a day ( 50p  on 4 wky ) for us to
continue giving a quality service, but we understand if you can't afford that...

ive just put most of mine up.
ive had 3 cancel and 2 of them were crap payers, i was glad to loose them
,one of them that canceled her husband works offshore but she couldnt hack a 50p increase.
its a good way to get rid of the ones that dont really want a wc.

Off topic a little, but if you doing windows for 5 or £6
that's fair enough, but it's same price as packet gags, and
Rolled moaning about 50p increase.........

Thank god I lucky enough not to have any 5 or £6 cleans.....

MrB
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!
