Aint that the truth. Mine packed up after a month. Probably due to the restriction in the pipe from bottom of tank to pump having a kink in it so it blocked off the water flow. Has a new pump in now and i still had to strip it and push the wires on after they fell off !!

In theory it's good, in practice it's pretty poor in my opinion.

Firstly (which is probably the cause of some of the rest of the problems) water leaks into to the compartement where the battery and wires n electrical units are housed.
The seal for this is poor.

2ndly I could never plug it in to charge it. The ports never worked. After asking to send it back they just sent me a little bag of connectors n asked me to fix it myself. I couldn't so ended up Havin to take batt out (major mission) n charge it from a car batt charger.

3rdly the vari flo stopped working soon after I bought it and is stuck on pretty much full flo.

Like I said in theory it's ok but cud do with some serious design changes.

On the good side, it's cheap, the batt last ages and if the variflo worked its an excellent feature.

I'd buy a shurflo tbh

i wouldnt bother with that mate , you would be better getting something like a 200 gpd .

 Hi

 i use one , its good but i agree could be better.

 i broke the charger with in a week and it couldnt be repleced, so i have cut the leads and put crocodile clips on it from normal charger.

 i like the fact its got a handle on the top becuase in practice i never put it on my back just carry it.

 i wish it had some sort of variable control on the pressure. its on or off 18 litres doesnt go far if your just maintenance cleaning you dont need that much water. but fot fiddley spots it really helps out.

you need to sort something for filling up though as it takes a while each fill of a 12 volt pump  we carry barrels and pour in.

My charger packed up as well.  Takes 5 mins to fill from pump in van so i had large tap and large diameter hose fitted to bottom of van tank and fills it in less than a minute now.

Only use it about three times a month for carrying through houses. It is ok for that but I would want a better one for more use.

Thanks guys, so if you had the choice would you go for the Shurflo system then, it's £300+ so I'd like to know if it's a dog or not.

if u mean the shurflo backpack /these like the wc backpack have had problems .they ok when they ar working but they more costly when they go wrong

Shurflos are £116 on eBay. Plus £30ish shipping or thereabouts. You can 2 delivered for less than 1 from the warehouse. Been using them for years. Never had a problem with them. But a couple of week wait as they are from California.

realistically how many litres a day do these 200gpd ro's produce

i use a 200 gpd with a static tank and produce around 800 ltrs of pure over 24 hours , a 300 gpd which i used to have will do around 1000 ltrs per 24 hours , these units are ideal if running a static set up .
