What Booster pump
« on: February 25, 2011, 09:46:31 pm »
Im in the process of setting myselp up with a WFP backpack i have the backpack and pole, so  it's now time to sort out the RO and DI unit,.What i want to do is purify rain water as well as tap, as im on a meter what booster pump would i need to draw the water from a water butt through my RO and DI.
Also my water pressure from the tap isn't bad but i have read a booster pump is also sometimes needed from a tap, so what would be the best pump for both these purposes.I haven't yet got a TDS tester  so i cant test the TDS, but i am in a hard water area so i was also thinking the rain water would save my filters and resin too.thanks in advance.

400 gpd ro from vyair 240 including vat.
2 pumps built in.you need a submersible pump from b and q.20 quid for transfering your water.

Thanks for the reply but would i need an RO as big as that as im not going to be needing that much water but i just wanted to be set up for both options tap and waterbutt but not at the same time.Would the B&Q pump have enough presure to feed the RO unit?
