I have a Sikh Temple to clean two conditions are you cannot wear outdoor shoes and your head must be covered. Now covering head not a problem had a turban on to qoute and shoes off, obviously working in stocking feet not an option has anybody had experience of doing this and how did you get round it?

I would get some shoe covers and but some light weight shoes inside like decking shoes, that's how I did my last one (about 15 years ago), they are big halls usually and they don't usually like my sq m price.

I do a mosque about 3 times a year. At first when i quoted they wanted me to take my shoes of which was ok. But when i clean, they allow me to wear trainers with two pairs of over shoes. I change in to trainers and make sure they see me doing so as the trainers are not outdoor shoes.

This often raises its head when doing flood work. People asking you to remove your boots at the front door. Not going to happen. Overshoes on everytime and ok.
You say outdoor shoes so does that not mean you are ok to wear slippers or something. Just do that and work backwards as you do so you aren't walking on the wet bits.

I'd do it barefoot and naked if they'd pay

I have some crocs in the back which I slip on when finishing off round the edges.
Only time I wear them is on holiday or dry days at home so they're clean.
Would those do?

Well you can do it,turned up this morning and the head of the family flatly refused to allow me to wear shoes even had a brand new pair of slip on deck shoes in the box but he was adamant it had to be done in bare feet so I walked there is no way was I using the d/f machine in bare feet

why?

unless you think you are going to rip your toes off with the rotary I can't think of any other reason or are d/fs chemicals highly corrosive :o :o

I think it woulf be possible to cause serious damage to your toes with a rotary. It only takes a second for an accident to happen.

I don't know about you Mike but I'm sure Health and Safety would have to say something on the matter ??? or do you just do your own thing?

Steve if I took notice of H&S i would never do half the stuff I do ;)

John I think it would be impossible to harm you  own toes while using a rotary ,its  a bit like shooting yourself in the back of the head with a shotgun.

but is'nt it the same as wearing the blue botties while you work( which i do on most jobs) i don't think they will protect my toes from a rotary so its almost like working barfoot anyhow
