is it possible to run a outside tap through a r/o filter and then a di vessel

thats how they work.

if you mean while working then it probably wont make water fast enough for you.

no sorry didnt explain too well.its to go from outside tap into a trolley system.and then work from trolley on site

from what i have seen if you want to do this you will use a DI only, but go through a lot of resin.
an RO without good tap pressure will be too slow to work from.
