The "do websites work" post seems to be getting a bit complicated. So what other forms of advertising work for YOU and YOU think are a must?

If I could wind the clock back to when I started it would be

1/ Keep every customer
2/ Keep in touch with them at least once a month.
3/ Make sure I get at least one referred, regular customer off them.

If I could wind it back say seven years, it would be .. get everyones' e mail address (then repeat as above).
