« on: January 27, 2011, 08:04:40 pm »
Hi all

Ive got the carpets to do in two static caravans coming up.

Can someone advise me on how long these generally take to do?

Allthough not a great deal of carpet in a static im anticapating doing much of it with my hand tool.

Thanks

About 1 hour each. If you can totally clear the bedrooms then everything (bar the bathroom) can be done by wand. If you can't clear them then most of the work will be hand tool.

what sort of prices you charge per unit out of interest- plus do you also have to do the seating ?

( as ive's about 20, 000 of them down the road on the sites and was thinking of targeting them now with the T/M )

done a few Normal caravans over time , found them easy to do . One lady even brought out a cup of tea and bacon butty , we both sat on her drive in the caravan and had a chill  - it was like being on holiday lol -

price a lot would depend on how many to do if its a considerable amount you maybe more successful using a day rate works for me you need to stress the fact you use a tm and you can get a lot more done in a day .  jobs like this is where a truckmount comes into its own one site i dont have to move the van all day. one helper who presprays and agit in front and away we go.

Spec with your t mount as you wont have any trouble with the electrics.

The last time i did one i just had one vac running and also was in the summer so drying time was not an issue really.

clinton s right with a porty = nightmare     reasons -  elecy norm poope , no hot water, too much moving of machines.
