I just wrap the system up in a couple of old thick blanket and put a oil fill rad in.

Has worked well for me i got caught out with the freeze before xmas, cracked sediment housing and pump strainer :(

Had this problem today. Main hose must have had ice in it somewhere. Couldn't get the water through at a high enough pressure. Decided to put hose reel by exhaust of van to warm it up............not a good idea!! Strange today though, as I have worked in a lot lower temperatures previously.

Just put an oil filled radiator in the van overnight on a low setting, ... cheap as chips... lovely and warm in the morning.
