Air mover

Have you guys any suggestions, for a air mover or strong fan.
Looking around £150.
Any advice appreciated

I have a Powerflite F6 WDR you can have for that. P&P would be extra and I could get it out on Tuesday/Wednesday.....

It's in good working order......

Bought one 12 months ago and I think I've used it 3
times. Most of the jobs it's too much hassle and always
seems to find any dust and spread it all over.
Think there only really any use in empty houses or outside
for drying cushions.

The best ones IMO are Ashby's they're £200 plus vat but they dry carpets twice as fast as the other ones as they have bigger motors than average.

Try these, http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cl-cdf20hvb-20-fan/path/home--office-electric-fans the cheaper ones are fine but you need to bend the stop lugs so it can be pointed more directly to the floor. I've got 4 and they take up less room than snails and are effective. Some DIY stores sell them too but it's a bit out of season really.

The Ashby one is one of the best and most powerful. I have tried others and they are hopeless.

In my opinion you need them for upholstery and you need them in lots of other situations. If you don't have one on the van I think it would be foolish.

Yeah upholstery 60% for the quick drying 40% for me when swetting like a rapist cause they got the heating on full ;D

Colins whole room drier is a good buy!  they are a top quality heavy duty very versatile machine which can also dry out wet floorboards etc with its very localised downdraft action - that is if you are man enough to carry it on to the job (lightweights just need to man up a bit  ;) )

Ive neverfelt the need for  one in all the years if cleaned carpets and uphostery,  ???  carpets dry quick now days , uphostery takes longer but if you tell them it will be out of action for a day they all fine .

I know loads of people that have them and never use them ,  lots of horror storys like pictures flying off the walls, soot coming down , dust every where etc .

Everyone gets caught out at first but you learn to place them so this doesn't happen or you physically move things.

Getting upholstery dry asap I see as having multiple benefits. Even if I didn't use an air mover it would probably by dry in a few hours, but for the sake of getting one out of the van well...

The ashby one is great for rugs too. I have two, and two other similar spec ones. I just wish they were stackable.

Whole room dryers? Why do you think everyone wants to sell them after a short while? They are sh...

I always try and dry upholstery if i can,well not that i get that much upholstery nowadays anyway ;D
