Spluttering water pump
« on: January 09, 2011, 08:43:08 pm »
Got a Hitrak water pump which has no brushes on an Alltec Advantage. Its splutttering when pumping. I've tried disconnecting it from machine and its still spluttering so its no air in the system thats causing it to splutter. As I said there are no brushes to change. I've taken the head apart and it looks ok. Any ideas out there?

Could be the none return valves. These should be changed at 1000 hours, less if you have a problem with lime scale. A new plunger kit should also be changed at every 500 hours. This is just a manufactures guide.....

Sorry, just re-read your post, I am of course referring to the pumptec head, I'm not too sure about the pump you have???

Thanks. I've never worked with a brushless water pump before. I was wondering if these type of pumps can develop a fault where they just run slow?

Thanks
