i am currently changing my website, when i change over do i need to have all the seo/backlinks done again? I also have 3 web addresses can i link the all to the same
website and would i need to get them all optimised. The wording on the new website is pretty much the same as the old one.

Cheers Mark.

Hi Mark. Not sure if I get your drift. But could you not put your new site under your old domain? As long as the new site is decent, you should be fine.
I`m launching a new site next week, always a bit scary.

Hi Rab

probably not making much sense as don't know much about this. Yes keeping the old domains and want to put the sites under these. Would it make any difference to the google ranking,

Cheers Mark.

But, if you have a good ranking. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr, scary  ;D
Good luck.

If you are using the same domain then your links will be fine. The trick is to keep the same structure, tags etc and even the same wording on each page. If some links go to pages that don't exist on the new site obviously these won't be of use.

Another option is to do all your fancy pants new stuff with a new site leaving the old one intact. Nothing stopping you having multple sites on the same listing.  :)

Mark on your new site I think you will get a much better response with the number at the top and really standing out. In my experience this one thing can make a big difference if you want people to call you.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Mark,

If you are only doing a re-design you don't need to do all of the backlinks again or any search engine submissions. However, if you are having any new content then the placement of the words on the new site is key to getting seen in the search engines.

I have designed websites for about 10 years now and have always found this tool to be quite useful;

www.ranks.nl - Keyword Density Analyser

It tells you how prominent your key phrases are on a particular page.  Anything over 60% is good.

Make sure your site is using <h1>, <h2> tags etc and ideally CSS.

Sorry to sound like a nerd but if you need any help with this let me know, I can point you in the right direction at least without actually doing it for you
