WC who lives less than a mile from me fell off his ladder too, round about May. Bust both legs, ankles the whole lot. Been in a wheelchair most of the summer, he now hobbles about. He's back at work now, learnt his lesson though. He now sends someone else up the ladder for him whilst he does the bottoms...
I think about them too, although probably not in the same way as you !!!

Thats good news,
Looks like he is recovering, hopefully a decent windy near him can rent his round, that would  be one less thing to worry about

I worked with a chap (4 kids)would fell 8- 10 ft onto concrete - landed on his head (wearing a hard hat) - hard hat smashed & so did his skull - air lift the lot to save his life - vlucky to live - now mostly recovered, but carries many injuries.
I know their is a lot of trad/WFP banter etc on here, but this must be the best arguement to keep your feet on the ground.

I think most of us know someone who has taken a fall, there is wc near me who was in a wheelchair for a year, i use ladders when i have to but they have been on the roofrack for at least 2 months, this is a dangerous job, so i make mine as safe as i can.

i fell once about 4 years ago i was doing a farm house and the ladders slipped from under me.
put the ladder up side of the house were there was a climber plant up ths side
as climbed up, the top of the ladder was suposed to go onto the sill instead it slipped at the base .
got both legs trapped between the rung and the gardener had to help me out .
now im wfp .

“Simon is showing small signs of recovery but is not yet able to make any decisions regarding his business.

“It is realised that his customers will need to take on another window cleaner in the meantime. It is hoped, however, when Simon is able to return to his business that they will continue to show him their loyalty.

“Simon will be depending on the goodwill of his fellow window cleaners to hand back the work on his return.”
