going out again in a little while  for a third week of door knocking / leafleting  getting about a days work a week at the moment i dont think thats bad considering time of year weather etc
working on whats happening at the moment thats  6  / 7 months if it continues to get a full months regular work
is there any other methods of advertising that others do

i was also thinking of leafleting car windows in car parks

do websites bring in work

also ill probably have to take on a part time job 2 -4 days a week whilst im building the round as the pennies wont last forever
did anyone else do this

The fastest way to build is by door knocking. Custies picked up from leaflets tend to be better quality custies. No easy fast way apart from door knocking. Also, door knocking tends to get more compact than just leaflets.

wouldnt bother with the leafleting cars they could live anywhere,i thought about a part time job when i first started so if you need the cash go for it even if its delivering take aways its money while you get your round to a point where it pays the bills then you can quit the job,just remember the more you spend canvasing the quicker your round will build,good luck

Joe, the biggest mistakes made in this game is second guessing what people think. The guys with small rounds are the ones who's custies think they aren't desperate !! Think about that a minute.

Ive been canvassing until the snow came now im just making sure i get the work done and money in. Canvassing starts again in january and should have one or two canvassers working by then also.

How long until you get established?
Well that is up to you.... It also depends on what milestone you consider you have MADE IT !

My goal is for 2-3 vans a full domestic round and decent commercial work. Only then will i consider myself established but it all depends on what you want to achieve.

i built a large round of both domestic and commercial, i also have around 40 industril buildings, i went door knocking leaflet drops van printed web site, local paper, uniforms printed, jacket printed when i go to tesco's  yell.com. google, thomson locals the lot....the more your know the better....

it took me around 6 to 7 months to get enough custies to pay all the bills and have enough left to save a good ammount for my first wfp system. 4 years later i have 3 vans all kitted out and 2 staff, countless contracts and il never look back.....as far as im concerned i come on here for advice and tips not that thers much on here but simple things like my van port thread are usefull knowledge to me.

done exactly that paid 800 quid for a berlingo with 6 months tax and a years ticket

brought all trad gear at the moment had a couple of good deals over the last few months and got a a frame ladder from a fella on here

sorting out a wfp set up 2nd hand shortly

up and running for less than a grand
