is any one out there doing tile and stone cleaning and maintenece

ive just recently started to do this.Ive bought everythging you need from floor polishers and wet hoovers

Would be nice to here from someone else who is doing this kind of work.

Yes i do loads of limestone cleaning, been doing a job today in a £10million new build manor house...well it was in the new Oast house they are going to use for there party's. And did some repairs in the swimming pool thats is tiled with limestone thats going to be filled tmro.

Have been asked to clean stone grey dippled non slip tiles around a swimming pool (indoors) after builders. Its covered in everything, cement, grout you name it. What would be the best way to clean it all off and is there a special chemical to use please?

The best thing to use first would be a Grout Residue remover as per instructions, then a good tile cleaner. You can get these products from your local Tile giant the products are made by LTP. I use a rotary scrubber and a good wet vac.

if your floor are in glazed tiles, i recommend this process for maintenance.

. Glazed tiles simply need to be wiped with a damp cloth or sponge to maintain their shine.

· Do not use abrasive cleaners.

· Soap should also not be used as it leaves a film on the tiles that dulls the lustre and promotes the growth of mildew in damp areas.

· Any cleaning solution should always be thoroughly rinsed off with clean water.

· Glazed tiles require no polishing or buffing to maintain their finish. The only exception may be terracotta or quarry tiles which could be oiled, waxed or sealed.

· Soiled grout can be cleaned with a plastic bristle brush. Do not use steel wool as minute particles remain behind and rust in the surface of the grout, producing unsightly stains.

Thanks for the advice although the glazed tiles are white on the walls and in the pool, but dull grey stone dippled tiles on the floor. These are the ones that will be the hardest to clean.

go onto the tile doctor website and buy a product called pro clean this will do the job for you put it on neat or dilute depending on  how dirty it is leave to dwell then rinse off with clean warm water

Took your advice and they sent me a sample of Bonamain Pro2 absolutely amazing. Sorted all the spots of paint, cement, crap etc in seconds. Sprayed it on, agitated a few seconds, power washed it off. saved me days of work. Thanks for your help.
