Hi all,
I used to price up jobs and quite often wouldn't get the job, normally losing our to a competitor. But now I've completely changed my ways.
I advertise and let the customer tell me what they are prepared to pay to have the job done and I can say I rarely lose work and I'm kept reasonably busy.
I don't let customers take the p%ss though. If they say I'll give you £15 to clean my lounge I'd say, get away, I'll do it for £30 while I'm here though!
Customers are more happy when they set the price!
Try it, give it ago, believe me you convert nearly every job that calls you.
And some of the jobs I wouldn't charge as much as they want to pay anyhow!!!
