how would you remove browning /water damage to linen pile rug

I am thinking of using browning prescription to try and remove a patch of browning fom a linen wool rug..the mark was Caused by a small flood from a blocked drain pipe..woul hydrogen peroxide or acestic acid work..the last time I cleaned linen there was lots of browning,so am a bit paranoid lol
All advice welcome...

I'm not going to give you a definitive answer because I've personally not seen the article.
The only advice I would give you would be to carry out sample tests, using various products at your disposal using cotton buds and a hairdryer to spead up the result.
Which ever get's the best result run with that.
Don't forget that at this stage it's not your problem so don't let it become yours by making the situation worse  .

Mix up some fibre (acid rinse) 50/50 with water and fine spray. Will probably disappear before your eyes and its a safe option.

The more you wet it the worse the problem will become, mix some browning prescription 1-1 with water and mist, then dry asap
If that fails try the oxi brite, fibre buff & Fibre shampoo method

Why add water, that only adds fuel to the fire, it was that that caused the problem in the first place
