bought some snow chains today

feck this being stuck on roads. Ordered a set of 16mm heavy duty chains. It seems majority of places out of stock.

I used them abroad but was always told you have to remove them on treated roads. great on the side roads but a pain if you need to keep removing them. or is that not the case

Surely if it's bad enough for chains you wont be doing any work.

do loads of commercial mon -fri shop fronts etc.

Can easily work doing them

Another type is snow socks for the wheels, road safe and just as good from what i have read.

yeah saw them also but would prefer chains. both nee dto be taken off when ye hit clear road and also can only drive at low speeds

whats wrong with winter tyres i got them on my van and i can go places others cant, and it only cost 80 for 2 front tyres, just gotta watch then bk end now and then.

neither are tyres. They will serve a purpose for when i need them

I had some chains years ago - what a pain in the ars they are to fit!
Had one snap too - made a right mess of the paintwork.

they will be used to get me out of my street and dodgy ca rparks when stuck.

You'd be taking them off and on round here.
Wears them out quick if you use them on normal
road conditions and they can make a hell of a mess
of your wheel arches if they snap.

WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.
