If a dog bit me i would be straight onto the old bill and i would have it put down,

i hate dogs there disgusting creatures all they do is bark and poop and p everywhere and there owners treat them like children and not animals which they are.

there is no excuse for that dog biting you, it needs to be put down what if a small child wandered round the back of that house and the dog bit the childs face?

the animal needs to be f***ing shot!

  Dogs are terratorial animals and you are on their terratory, most dogs are non aggressive and placid when in neutral surroundings, but will protect their terratory and pack from intruders, ie the window cleaner.

I was out leafleting and had to shove my finger ends through a letter box with the stiff bristles inside, without warning something grabbed my hand the i felt a searing pain up my arm, i tried to pull my hand out but without a bark or growl a jack russell had latched onto my middle finger and was trying to do some crocodile type death roll with it, i knocked on the door but nobody was home and with the letter box being more than half way up the door the dog was litterally hanging off my finger, i could feel its teeth scraping on the bone, in the end i had no choice but to rip my hand out, anyway after calmly walking back to the van with blood pumping everywere i had to shove the insides of my finger back in with a biro lid. one visit to casualty and a tetanus and iodine hand bath later the hole has almost healed! Tis was around 8 weeks ago. i have to say i am a massive dog lover so never reported it!!!

that is well nasty, exactly the same thing happened to someone i know, he was canvassing for his driving school, (gone bust now) couldnt help but laugh, hell of a nasty gash in his hand.

another friend got chased after a night out and had one of his fingers bitten off!

my dogs dont bite, well they havent so far.

BUT, if ANY unathorised person came into MY!!! back garden, weather they burglars RSPCA or police, then i  hope they get bitten.

MY back garden is the dogs territory!!

I have no sympathy for these type of people, the only reason they invite you in and make you a cup of tea is they are worried you may sue them. They are concerned for themselves not you.
If a dog is likely to hurt someone it should never be allowed to come into contact with people. They obviously knew it was a danger yet were so disinterested they ignore a text warning them someone will be on their property.
If it was me, I would report them immediately.

It could be a child next!!!

I dont wish to try to antagonise your feelings about whats happened Mr Bungalow but this is how I see it too. There actions were selfish IMO.

I have been biten twice once canvasing also the letter box I called the owner and told her should couid loose her dog.The other was a quote and I turned my back as the owner reassured it woul dnot bit he was as shocked as I was but I punched it so hard. I thing the plod would have put me down.I spent two years in the forces as a dog handler and to all the big mouth guys with a dog.Any dog that attackes with out been ordered is a badly or non trained dog and in that situation should be put down.The owner would be lucky they are not put down for letting there dogs down by not trainig them.

I am now a dog owner(jack russell). Never had a dog before, but was offered him by a customer who couldn't look after him.

When I first got him he had been allowed to do anything he wanted and growled and even snapped at me. The previous owners thought it was quite funny. And that imho is where the problem lies. People not treating their dogs as animals, but like people.

I soon stopped that by showing him who was "top dog". He is now fairly well behaved, but would I trust him? No. If I thought he was a danger to anyone would he be put down? Absolutely.

It took about 1/3 of the door up very big dog flap I can tell you.
