replacement for L5 ?
« on: November 28, 2010, 11:29:07 am »
Dont think this is an l5 , maybe it is , what i need to know is can it be used in the same manner , i know the price is steep , but its only down the road from me , no import wait so to speak , he has also agreed to try it with my system before i buy , i did mention my links to w/c people so he has offered me discount if they are suitable as he has a handfull of them , he will not ship but i will .
Any input on what make it is or any info appreciated , im asking you guys first as after all he wants to get shot of them and make his money !
Plus i dont want to waste his time and mine fitting it up if its not suitable for the job in hand.

Cheers Rich        OOPS , EBAY  ITEM   320623029622.

Thats what im thinking , ok if it is an l5 its well overpriced , nearly double in fact , but if the cold stays , then imagine how much you could lose waiting for an imported one , i have one or more waiting 10 mins down the road.

exactly spend a extra 100 quid and do a 10 days work,or save 100 quid and do no work, its a no brainer if it works just as well as the l5

I remember last year , had heater in van over night , no ice or cold in van at all , water was 16c when i left home , within an hour i was on the blower to a fellow w/c sayin "mate are your brush heads freezin to the glass too ?"
His reply was "Dickie mate , im on my way home , even my pencil jets went solid "

Most windows you get away with , but if you use a bit of savvy  you know when to wrap in , the day in question above caught me out , i ended up pulling a wheelie bin to the front of the house and putting a letter in big print on the side on A4 paper " ICE ON PORCH AREA , BEWARE , SORRY PHIL !"

It worked , i went home and didnt get sued  ;D
