Hi SMS

I take it Global is a franchise company? All franchise companies make you buy their products, because they make a fortune from supplying you and they will make the excuses that you have to buy their products, because they know they work etc.

The unfortunate thing is, if you purchase your products from another source and they find out, you could be in breech of your contract and could face severe repercussions.

The company is Global Cleaning and it is a franchise company.

In the main they seem to deal with office cleaning.

The cleaner or who ever in effect 'buys' the job off them via a deposit on the basis that should the person give up the work, then they get their deposit back unless the customer cancels the original contract between them and Global.

We've done w/c work for someone who runs a Global Franchise and apart from the low price for the job (which at the time was well needed work) - it was ok and payment was gauranteed.

When we packed up the 3 contracts we had after a year we got our deposits back no problem.

Also, the question of buying cleaning products didn't apply to us as all we used was the odd bottle of Fairy every few weeks but yes, they do expect the stuff bought from them.

Cheers
