SEO for websites
« on: October 20, 2010, 05:57:31 pm »
Hi all

In general I know what the search terms are that bring people to my website - www.nice-clean-windows.co.uk however it's been relatively unchanged since launch in April 2009 and I want to change the text a little to refresh it.

Does anyone have some bullet point tips for improving SEO?

AJ

Keyword density of 8-10% per page.
Alternative text for pics
Title tag should contain all keywords in order of preferance.
Backlinks, backlinks, backlinks, one way not reciprocal.
Heading tags using keywords.
Relevent text, with no spam keywords. Sometimes, less is more.

Just a few of the basics.
There are many free tools on the net to check the quality of your pages.
Look for SEO tools.
