If they approached you and Im assuming they have Nat  and that there are 64 windows in total but no more, then Id probably offer a price somewhere in the region of £140 including travelling if its a one-off. Its prety hard to say, once you get to a job if your going to price it up onsite you can generally get a hands-on 'feel' for the place and the custards attitude. Im in business and aim to get what I can maximise my output at.

If I feel I can get away with a higher price I'll try, they can always refuse. I wouldnt want to go in at any lower than £140 put it that way.

It took the last cleaner 6 hours,.. the windows are bigger than they look!!
There's also another level at the back,.. max pole used was only 40' though

This one is a bit of an ordeal, and I had a bad feeling about it from the very start, but against my better judgement I submitted my price & after some "negotiation" and a €50 discount for payment on the day, had it accepted.
But,..  through a contact I found out that they'd been having work done and that this possibly included painting window frames, so there would be paint on the glass & it'd be more of a builders clean. The owner of this property has previously re-negotiated agreed prices on the day (using the "this is all I'm willing to pay, accept it or go home" technique) with someone I know, who stupidly agreed to the €100 discount, and then the guy had the cheek to be fussy & point out marks & runs from where the job had been rushed!

I asked three times about this possible extra cleaning (Via e-mail so I have a record of all communication!), because on top of the extra price/work it would also require a cherry picker to trad the top windows which would be impossible to arrange on the day. Each time the question was skirted,.. and another request to verify that my price was final came in place of an answer, which got me mighty suspicious! From my first contact it was stated that this price was for standard cleaning only, not a builders clean.

I got a bit annoyed at being messed around & my questions being ignored,.. and my wife had to stop me sending a shirty "stuff your job where the sun don't shine" kinda e-mail! Instead, they got a "I'm happy to provide a quote for your builders clean" e-mail,.. less satisfying, but more professional.

To be honest,... if they do get back to me (I hope they don't) about the builders clean, my standard prices will be doubled for this one!!

 Traditional 450 euros one off clean and  320 if they want it every 6 weeks ,thats priced keen to get the work. Am guessing he wouldn`t be surprised that  2 men and a van  be at it for the day so thats well cheap. In fact with my experience of pricing in kildare(know this isn`t Kildare) thats too much like hard work for that sort of money(doing a mint job obviously). Wouldn`t dare wfp with a fussy owner and i would be there forever checking and re-checking every bloody window.( am brand new to wfp)

6 hours? I didnt say 6 hours, if you think that'd take 6 hours you're doing something wrong. We do this place below, 6 weekly, it takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours and thats only after 2 cleans, might get that down to somewhere around the £100 an hour mark 


I noticed you havent offered a price.

I did say its extremely difficult to price without viewing the place, and £140 for 64 windows is a pretty nice rate, unless you can get better of course. This would be the bare minimum, looking at the pics, however once getting on site and seeing things there could change, you never know it might even go down.

How do you get those sorts of jobs? Do they come to you or do you leaflet?

A combination of marketing, good leaflets, good website, patience, being approachable, confident, right place right time, and price.

Of the top of my head those things, theres bound to be more, knackered so cant think, did 28 mile off road MTB event today.
