The cleaning solution we use are not dangerous chems compared to some other cleaning operations and once in solution shouldn't be a problem. However some of these are irritants if inhaled or ingested when atomised whilst spraying.
Their  safety data sheet will mention any likelihood of this.

Indeed, a chemical that's actually illegal in America, but not here ???

As with many industries, the cleaning industry products change almost on a monthly basis, so there's zero chance of a 20 year study being carried on x product.
I use a basic rule of thumb: If it's capable of stripping asphalt, coffee stains, vomit, urine and the other by means of spray-wipe-walk away, then it's clearly not going to do the insides of a human being much good.
