Asthma Sensitivity - Detergent Fumes (VOC's)
« on: October 19, 2010, 04:41:21 pm »
Hiya

Got a cc booked with a customer who has asthmatic reaction to detergent VOC's (fumes). Carpet has low soil, last cleaned 2004/5, high wool content - thinking of alternative prespray and rinse with water only. Can you recommend a suitable pre-spray.

Thanks

Grant

Hi

That's the plan; plain h/w/e after prespray

This is the stuff you need.

Chemspec DFC prespray. All ingredients are considered safe from a food and drinks perspective and it contains no VOCs. It is woolsafe too, so it ticks all your boxes.

I use this regularly and it is a decent product. I recommend it. :)

Why not try Nemesis or M-Power.  No problems with either of them.

I had similar customer ,suggested they check DFC 105 out on web to see if ok. They went for it and were well pleased with job. Terrible problem to have - cant have new suite as it offgases or car . Any decorating has to be planned when they are away etc

I did a whole house the other week and she wouldn't let me use anything, luckily it wasn't too bad and the heat did the work.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
