for a frame like that it would need to be done over 2 days 1 day for undercoat 2nd day for gloss and you would expect to be charged around £25 per frame .
I dont think he's allowed for the time to make a decent job in preparation.

cheers lads ! - that gives me some idea , especially now i know it must be over 2 days to allow the different coats of paint to dry the reason i asked is because it could be handy to have a painter/ivy cutter/ other trades i can pass it on too .rather than just saying point blank " i dont know any other trade folk "

Oh and applied by a tradesman would be a great help too.
