« on: September 29, 2010, 06:37:48 pm »
Just took the plunge and ordered an L5! just wondering, when it arrives I want to get it working asap. Can anybody advise me when extra bits and bobs it needs? I have no idea about what type of gas it takes or regulators etc. Any help would be muuch appreciated! Thanks

you will need to change the regulator camping or general hardware store about £8
a few jubilee clips and a length of hose 2 metres poss depending where your putting your L5 from your reel.

Thats for starters

I have a question for any L5 users have you replaced your hose to thermobore ?

thanks.im not going to change to thermobore. from hot water set ups iv seen, normal hose does just fine, it does expand a little, but just need to tighten those jubilee clips up!

Apart from maybe cleaning a bit quicker, what are the advantages of hot water system?

Obvious one is you can raise the temp of water in winter to stop it freezing in the pole.not hot, just 20c or something.Do people use LPG or other gas?
