Hi sierragls,
You don't need to cut your pole to fit (any version) of the Aqua-dapter. You probably do need to remove the end screw for the Aqua-dapter to slide on to the end section, and to have enough pole to clamp to. Cutting is probably the easiest way of doing this.
However, you can also heat up the glue and remove the end screw, which (if I remember correctly) is what Darran has done, and quite a few other customers have too.
what happens if you don't like the aqua adapter and want to take it off?
Well, if you have cut your pole, you can refit the old end screw, or buy a new one e.g.
http://www.express-cleaning-supplies.co.uk/oos/reachandwash/GT1.html and you've lost maybe 3 inches. If you haven't cut the pole, just glue the endscrew in and you're back to normal.
In the unlikely event that there's a fault with the Aqua-dapter, it can be easily bypassed while still on the pole, contact us and we'll sort you out.
It was originally designed as a permanent pole upgrade, but after listening to the feedback we've received the Mk2, which is currently available (with a discount) for Pre-Order, allows for the optional screw thread adapter, which means you will be able to fit it without
any modification to your pole (although we still recommend clamping it directly to the pole for the most secure fit).
Happy to answer any other questions you may have.
Paul
