Trad top tip - buying an old Rover.
« on: September 23, 2010, 04:25:30 pm »
When you decide to upgrade from a bicycle to a 20 year old Rover 416 make sure you get the "SL" model or higher so that you can stick your ladders out of the sunroof.

It's a game of three halves!

Stop it Gold or I'll report you. Mallet isn't funny either. Keep to your usual witty replies.

great idea gold. if you had a run of terraces with small front gardens you could even clean all the windows without getting the ladder out of the car . just extend it through the sun roof put the gormless looking lad at the top of the ladder and move the car a window at a time . it just goes to show by putting our heads together we can make tradding easier and safer ;)

Propper top tip for tradders.

Get a cheap second hand wfp, connect to a household hose (where they have them) and clean all the frames and window with tap water (don't forget to charge a bit more). Squeegee off the windows as normal. Hey presto you should have a happy customer, more money in your pocket and an easy job to come back to.
This also works with doors, garage doors, soffits and gutters, gates and garden furiture etc. Those hard to get to windows above conservatories that never get touched would look much better even using tap water.

For an investment of a couple of hundred quid you can make a mojor impact on your earning potential with your existing customers.

ciao

So you're saying use tap water in a backpack and wash all the frames then (presumably using a ladder?) go back and squeegee them?

 ???  ::)
