how do you take it apart ?
To remove a section from any of our telescopic pole ranges that have positive stop joints, follow the steps below:
1. Undo and remove lever arm sets
2. Lever apart the clamp arms (allen key/screwdriver/small wedge)
3. With clamp arms open, carefully slide joint stop out from the clamp twisting the section as you do so to help ease the section out
To re-assemble - reverse the steps above.
Most cleaning and maintenance will not need sections removing. The following is what we recommend for cleaning the pole out:
1. Open all clamps and extend each section by about a foot
2. Lay back of brush head on the ground
3. Direct a jet of water up the base of the pole and allow to flush for a minute
4. Lay pole on floor, pick up brush head and put pole upright to allow excess water to flush back down the pole
We would recommend doing this once a week or whenever having used the pole in gritty/sandy conditions. Combine this with keeping the pole hose clean as most of the dirt that gets into the pole mechanism is carried up from the pole hose. A simple wipe down of the hose as you put the pole away after each job is usually sufficient.
