Spiders a mad scramble ( or a mad ramble)
« on: September 17, 2010, 03:47:16 pm »
Here we are at that time of year again.
Its getting cold and the spiders are desperate to eat enough bugs to get them fat for winter.

Smart spiders find a lampost with a warm bright bulb and knit a big fat sleeping bag and eat well through the winter.

Dumb spiders find the corners and edges of window frames. cosy sort of place to shack up you may think, free tv, warm glass, entertaining neighbours and light for the bugs, But out of the blue comes hell in the form of a thousand spikes and a torrent of cold water. So any self respecting spider bunjies off the window and runs like hell is on his tail.

The lucky spider makes it safely under some rock or in a crack, and will clamber back up on his six unbroken legs and live to dump on the glass for another month.

The unlucky spider will be stomped.

Its either that or I suppose I could catch them and individually post them to peru for a better life. Maybe I could use that as a pitch for environment concious punters. "Thats ten quid for washin the windows madam and £475 postage". :D now all I need is a steady supply of match boxes and cotton wool (for a bed).

Just a bit of fun (not the stompin thats serious)

if it is dirty it is fair game

Blend it with some lawn mowings, perhaps make it a little less mind bending  8)

I think if you look closely you will find they have EIGHT legs chief

I've got one in behind the van mirror (outside) I sweep away his web every morning but he always has another ready for the next day, big respect for him and i always give him a thought when i'm having a bad day, could be a bit of the Robert The Bruce for a modern day scenario going on here.
How the feck he still survives the hose when i wash the van i'll never know.
