Just wondered how many people actually use a small pole.... 7ft and below. I have a brodex one and its really handy

Although I use a SLX for pretty much everything, there are tight places that do need something smaller.  I have an Ionics 2 x 2ft pole for this.  When that is no more, I shall use a 3ft broom handle.

i want one but am not prepared to pay the £80+ which it costs for a 4ft stick of fibreglass

i used to use a small converted optiloc pole but i just use it for washing the van now as the 22ft clx is very short closed(4ft 9in) and it does all my downstairs work!!if the space is really restricted its easier to trad  downstairs IMO.

have to agree with dazmond - clx is a great pole and short enough for tops, bottoms & conservatorys ...

maybe buy a bare pole from gardiners - cheap enough 9ft 2 sections xtel pole £30 odd

if i couold afford a short pole or to make up a short one i would do - have a few connys that have a narrow side with high fence and always awkward and irritating.

like the idea of a broom handle i guess could get hose connectors - screw top and brush head and away u go ideal - bit of faffing to change but worth it.

I was surprised to find that it has the same diameter at the end and the same thread as a small Ionics section.  I tried an angle adaptor and it fitted perfectly.  Don't think I will be buying any more small poles.

No faffing needed.  Many of them already have a thread that takes an angle adaptor.  Just screw a brush on the end, connect up the Y piece, and run the hose down the outside.  Works just fine.

you should check out the Vileda mop and broom handles in tesco or b&q most of them have the correct thread are preety cheap and are also extendable 2ft - 4ft we use these as they are also quite sturdy and cheap - about £7ish.

the ones we use have a diamond shaped head on them that you stick scourers to, these can also be useful on first cleans as they can be screwed on to end of wfp and used to remove stubbern marks.

they are worth every penny, hope this helps

not always 80.00    there are some bargain mini poles.
