is that so, well the harris is 17 and we find that fine for most average houses, but we do get through them, so thinking about going for the clx 18, one foot longer, and shorter when down. ordered 2 clx 27 last week so waiting for them. but we want a better every day pole.

Id stick with harris for price if your already getting 2 x 27's. My harris lasted almost 12 months every day use. Only thing that went was the top clamp.

You may even use the clxs as every day. The 22 was very nice in my opinion.

wow! 12 months!!!!, me and my staff get through them in about 6-8 weeks max, just the clamps go and the head spins. just going to use the 27s for higher stuff, like the look and price of the 18clx, if it lasts 8-12 months then i would be happy witht that.

use them clampless...leave clamps open..use pole hose to hold the pole up...by holding it at the bottom..

make the hose tight from the brush to where it goes into the pole. (dont make the hole to big) helps with twisting, it never actually spins.
there's just no faster way of cleaning wfp on normal domestics G 1 floor stuff.
pull the hose and down in 1sec while walking to your next window.
try it.
pole up and cleaning in less than 5sec.

Ptfe/plumbers tape around the threads of the clamp. My Harris is 3 years old and is used every single day.
I do this every 4 or 5 days, takes two minutes to do and works like new every single time. Wrap around about 20 times and away you go with a new pole. Honest, try it, you will be surprised how good it works.

A centimeter wide strip of clear plastic from a pop bottle, this is all you need to fix the clamps. Just wrap it once round the clamp claws. I was one of the first to use the Harris for WFP window cleaning, and I'm still using the original pole.
