« on: August 20, 2010, 11:24:33 am »
had my 1st day wfping yesterday and i hurt like hell, its a 35litre trolley system.found it slow but still better than ladders.my back is sore but think that is down to the trolley handle being a bit short for me.does it get easier?

you would be better off with a smaller trolley - 25ltr or a backpack aswell and of course a van mount if pos.

pros for a 35 ltr trolley - less time spent between fills

cons - on the heavy side! better of with smaller trolley and a few 25 ltr containers....

i use a 35 ltre trolley but i only w.f.p above ground floor so only fill trolley half full to keep weight down
i put trolley half way round house im cleaning, so i dont have to move trolley again untill i leave the property.

you are just using different muscles on your body, it will ease off after a while

Depends what you mean, by getting easier?
Yes, you will learn to be quicker and strengthen the muscles that are needed to lift in/out and to drag around.
But i had a raised hip for almost a year and a half from lifting trolley in and out of van. I spent a year of that wondering if i would ever lead a pain free life again.
Funnily enough i was ok working and moving. It was being inactive that hurt.
A masseur told me it was from lifting unequally and to try and stop. It cleared up after a week of going back to van mount.
I'm a great fan of trolleys though. But they aren't as good without a 12v sub pump in the back of van. I use mine mostly as a van mount nowadays.
Use a proper lifting technique and you'll be ok. I used to sort of twist and throw mine into the van by bouncing it of my thigh. I did that for a year before i got 1st pains.

st1allstar yep! i finished the work i would normally get through by 5pm on a good day using ladders!

so basically it took me 3 hours longer to earn the same money with wfp!!

some of the first cleans were a nightmare!its the latest ive worked on the windows but it was a nice sunny light night and my custies were fine with it! ;D ;D ;D

Trolleys are a killer, i do have to admit, i started off with trolley then started getting back problems, couldnt sit down some nights cause of pain, so went to van mount, then for some mad reason went to backpack then back to trolley and now im back at van mont with 100m hose...bliss.

Its just my advice but make it into a van mount, all you need is a tank and a hose
