traditional extension pole
« on: August 19, 2010, 08:24:58 pm »
Hi everyone, haven't been on for a while, but nice to see we've all been busy during the hot weather! Can anyone advise me on a good all round extension pole for trad? And what length would people recommend? Just for the odd few hard to reach window on domestic property. And I know wfp is the way forward just need to expand the round a fair bit more and become more established first.

Cheers in advance

Jason

recommend a PULEX  3 part pole , 2 metres each section =6metres total . as it happens, its one of the very  cheapest on offer and i mainly use just the first 2 sections which are fairly light .i usually use it from up my ladder such as short ladder leaning on side ofconsevatory and use pole to clean the windows above

jason ive got a unger teleplus pole(the full 5 section 10m version!)although just the 3 section 6m pole will do ya.

i got mine from the windowclean centre.im wfp now but still use the 3 section for a few jobs.

the full 5 section is a makeshift wfp for a couple of high jobs.

ive got an unger fixiclamp as well for detailing(holds a fold up scrim or microfibre).

hope this helps

Ive always used the good old Harris pole from b&q for trad and ive now got on set up for wfp as well cant go wrong for £15 they do loads of smaller poles as well for a fraction of the normal costs just look in the decorating section.
Im not scared of heights, just falling from them.
